Private Pay

  • I operate as a private-pay, out-of-network (OON) provider, which means I’m not tied to any insurance companies or EAP programs. Payment is due at the time of each session. I do offer reduced-fee services on a sliding scale — see details below.

    Benefits of choosing private pay

    • You can choose the therapist who feels like the best fit for you.

    • You and your therapist decide together how long treatment lasts and which direction it takes.

    • Your therapy records and session details stay private and aren’t shared with an insurance company.

    • You can use telehealth without restrictions set by insurers.

    • If your insurance changes, you can keep working with the same therapist without interruption.

Using Your Out-Of-Network (OON) Benefits

I can give you monthly superbills that you can send to your insurance company. They might pay you back some money for your therapy sessions, but it depends on your plan and deductible.

To make the most of this, I suggest giving your insurance provider a call. Ask them questions like:

01

Do I have benefits for therapy from out-of-network providers?

02

How much will they pay for my therapy sessions?

03

Are there any limitations on seeing my provider out-of-network?

04

Can I do online therapy, and will they pay for it?

05

Do I have a yearly amount I need to pay first (that's called a deductible)? If yes, how much is it, and have I paid any of it yet?

06

If I have a deductible, do I have to pay for therapy until I've paid it off? After that, how much will they reimburse me?

07

What do I need to send them to get my money back?

08

Do I need a referral from another provider to see someone like DJ, who's out-of-network
